Hello and good afternoon all! This is a short story I wrote for my friend Michael, for his birthday. He is one of my best friends, and I began the story as sort of a joke, but realized that I could turn it into something somewhat meaningful (and cheesy).
One day, the wind decided to stop blowing
the oceans decided to stop moving
and a certain little boy, decided to stop caring.
"Isn't there something I can do?" his mother asked.
"No!" replied the boy, as he stormed out of the house, and ran to the end of the dock.
He sat on the edge, with his legs dangling off, confused by the feeling of anger boiling inside of him, and feeling weak and hurt all over his body.
Just then, a dolphin popped her head out of the water, and and the boy was amazed by the beauty of this creature he had never seen before.
"Michael" she said, "All the fish in the sea, and all the seeds in the trees, can't go anywhere, until you care again." And as Michael watched the dolphin sink below the water, he caught his reflection on the water, and saw the saddest boy he'd ever seen.
"That boy is me" he thought. And just then, the wind began to blow again, and the waves began to move again, and Michael? well... he began to care again, and grew up to be you
Happy birthday Michael, and thanks for all your support! I think you are twenty two.
